I love taking portraits of people on the street. Regardless of whether the people I’m photographing are posing or just doing their daily lives, humans are definitely the most captivating, strange and interesting subjects.
Most of the images realized on the street were taken with the permission of the subject. I love looking for people who intrigue me. I often point them out with a smile and a gesture from my camera, then I observe their reaction. But I also take stolen and unauthorized portraits of life on the street, whatever can get my attention.
For many people it is difficult and sometimes, it can be terrifying to photograph strangers. What’s important to remember, though, is that most people like to be noticed and portrayed. But if they don’t like it, the worst thing that can happen to me is to have to delete the photo.
